Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the implementation of Islamic law and gender equality, especially in the context of women in Indonesia. Using quantitative methods and simple linear regression tests, data were collected consisting of women and men who have knowledge of Islamic law. The questionnaire distributed included questions regarding the understanding of women's rights in Islamic law and attitudes towards gender equality. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant positive influence between the understanding of fair Islamic law and gender equality, with a regression coefficient value of . This study indicates that increasing understanding of women's rights within the framework of sharia can encourage awareness and acceptance of gender equality. This study emphasizes the importance of education about progressive Islamic law to build equality for women in society. The results of the study are expected to provide insight for policy makers, activists, and the community in an effort to strengthen the position of women within a dynamic and just Islamic legal framework.
